But if you’re thinking popcorn came into existence around the time cinema was introduced, you are simply wrong. Archaeologists have discovered popcorn ears in New Mexico that are dated to be about 5,600 years old! This evidence suggests that humans have been enjoying popcorn for quite some time.

As an added bonus, popcorn is actually healthy and good for you. Naturally low in fat and calories, popcorn is a very sensible snack choice!
